On Friday, June 19, 2025, the Golești Museum will be the venue for a celebration organized by the Cultural Association of the Veterans’ Choir “Mihai Viteazu” – Pitești, on the occasion of the Universal Day of the Ia. The event will be a complex one, including the opening of an exhibition, a choral concert, a book launch and an anniversary.

The exhibition “Eternity was born in the village” will be opened in the Hârsești town hall, a monument located in the Open-Air section of our museum and will bring together works of iconography, metal plastic and wood sculpture signed by Mrs. Ela Constantin, Mrs. Elena Gurău, Mr. Constantin Samoilă, Mr. Col. r. Ion Catinca and priest Nicolae Ionescu.

The veterans’ choir, conducted by Mr. Col. r. Nicolae Perniu, will perform a music program that will bring us closer to the “Soul of the Village”. Along with the choir that has delighted us over the years of collaboration with many concerts full of patriotic spirit and enthusiasm, the performance on June 19 will also feature Ioana Marin and Tița Tudose, soloists of authentic folk music.

During the event, Mrs. Tița Tudose will be celebrated on her 80th birthday. Tita Tudose fell in love with folk costumes at the age of 8, when she first wore a traditional costume, and now she has a collection of over 100 authentic folk costumes. Although she did not work in the artistic field, her love for music and folk costumes accompanied her throughout the years and led her to become a performer of our traditional song. On her birthday, the Golești Museum wishes her “Happy Birthday!”.

Also on June 19, we will have the opportunity to participate in the launch of the volume of poems “Regăsiri”. Its author is the missionary priest Nicolae Ionescu Pitesteanu. Mr. Ionescu is from Arges, a reserve officer, poet and missionary priest. He discovered God after, at the age of 50, during a pilgrimage to Mount Athos, he received a sign that he considered prophetic. He preaches the word of God from house to house, without receiving any money for it, and seeks to help those in suffering as much as he can.

We invite you on Thursday, June 19, 2025, to the Golesti Museum to participate with the members of the Cultural Association of the Veterans’ Choir “Mihai Viteazu” – Pitesti and their guests, in cultural events that are an incursion into Romanian spirituality, into the culture of duty to the homeland and love for the Romanian people.
