On Sunday, November 9, 2025, at the “Alexandru Davila” Theater in Pitești, took place the launch of the volume “The Attitude of Cultural Institutions and the Press Towards the Instruction and Education of Children in Argeș County”. This is the result of a generous project carried out by the Ordessos Association and co-financed by the ARGEȘ COUNTY COUNCIL.
The book was documented and written by Mr. Gheorghe Smeoreanu, a renowned journalist from Argeș County. At the Golești Museum, we proudly noted that we are among the important institutions of Argeș County, which carry out an important educational activity. As shown in the volume, “The Golești Museum is not just a place where heritage is preserved and exhibited, but also a living space, which actively involves the local and regional community, offering educational programs adapted to children of various age categories”. The educational programs and camps that the museum makes available to the public throughout the year, from Monday to Sunday, are presented. An important aspect of the educational activities in Golești is that of integrating children with special situations, offering them a “sense of belonging”.
At the Golești Museum, as in all cultural institutions financed by the Argeș County Council (Argeș County Museum, “Dinicu Golescu” Argeș County Library, “Doina Argeșului” Center, “Alexandru Davila” Theater) children are “offered respite, roots and landmarks”.
