Between March 6 and April 21, 2026, the Golești Museum, in partnership with the Curtea de Argeș Municipal Museum, once again becomes the venue for the exhibition Feminine Perspectives, dedicated to International Women’s Day.
Through the exhibition Feminine Perspectives, tribute is paid to women, reminding us of their predominant role at the center of today’s society. Through their works, the artists convey their most sincere emotions, highlighting their personal essences and experiences in different contexts or important moments of everyday life.
Thus, contemporary female painters not only enrich the Romanian artistic landscape but also challenge the public to reflection and dialogue.
The exhibition also proposes a reflection on the role of the visitor. The viewer is not confined to the position of a passive observer but is invited to reflect and engage in dialogue, to move from one area to another, to connect fragments, and to confront images with one another.
Within the temporary exhibition, visitors will be able to admire works created by the visual artists: Ada Gugonea, Elena-Teodora Necula, Eugenia Predică, Georgeta Gherghinoiu, Ioana-Teodora Schmiedigen-Duță, Malvine Mocenco, and Ruxandra Socaciu.
The works are created using the following techniques: watercolor; gold leaf with bolus on cotton paper; oil painting; and acrylic on canvas.
In conclusion, the influence of female painters in contemporary Romanian art is undeniable, both through the diversity of their styles and the strength of the messages they convey. They not only bring a fresh and authentic perspective but also contribute to redefining the role of art in society. Through the courage to address sensitive themes and the originality of their artistic expression, these women become landmarks of creativity and change, demonstrating that contemporary Romanian art cannot be conceived without their essential contribution.
Through this exhibition, the Golești Museum reaffirms its commitment to supporting and promoting art, offering visitors an unforgettable cultural experience.
