On Friday, June 27, 2025, from 12:00 PM, the Golești Museum invites you to discover Mizyal Karabiber Nacaroğlu, a visual artist from Turkey whose sensitivity translated into color will delight you and invite you on a journey of discovery of a country with which our cultural ties are deeply anchored in history. The exhibition is entitled “Me and the world around me”/”Sourrandings and me” and will have its opening on June 27, 2025, in the Radu Golescu Ban Hospital in the presence of cultural personalities and, equally, good friends of our museum. Ms. Elena Stoica, visual artist, teacher and coordinator of the “Culoare și vis” painting school in Corbeni, will speak at the opening ceremony.
The presence of Mrs. Myzal Karabiber Nacaroğlu, a renowned artist and teacher from Ganziantep, is evidenced by multiple events, competitions and exhibitions held throughout an impressive career.
The introductory statement that the artist sent us is not a dry autobiography, listing achievements, but words of warmth and sincerity that bring us closer to a soul dedicated to art.
„I am Mizyal Karabiber Nacaroğlu. I was born in Gaziantep. Painting, handcrafts and creative activities were my areas of interest since primary school. I was lucky. All my art teachers, supported me from my primary school until I graduated from high school, and affected me positively. I opened an exhibition with 50 oil paintings in my first year of high school. After high school graduation, I went to England to receive art education. I received art education for two and a half years at the school where I was accepted by showing my art works. Then I returned to my country and graduated from the Middle East Technical University Food Engineering Department. After graduation, I continued my art education and always worked together with my art group in London and opened exhibitions. I received my master’s degree from Open Collage of Art. I opened 25 solo painting exhibitions. I participated in workshops every year and usually held workshops abroad in countries such as Bosnia-Herzegovina, Slovenia, England and Greece. I have had exhibitions in Holland, Germany, Slovenia, Istanbul, Ankara and my hometown Gaziantep. I am a member of the South West London Art Group ,International Artists Union and the Mediterranean Women Painters Group. I have participated in over 30 mixed exhibitions. While I was studying in England, I volunteered to work on painting with children. I have become a professional in this field. I have had an art house since 1988. We do painting with children. I have been organizing an International Children’s Painting Competition in Gaziantep for 36 years. I continue this competition institutionally with the Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality. And it is one of the institutions that organizes the longest-running children’s painting competitions in the world. We are in dialogue with artists from other countries and organize joint works.”
Mizyâl Karabiber Nacaroğlu expresses her deep desire to convey to others the harmony and inner happiness she experiences, transforming nature – with its dynamics, its events and its colors – into pictorial compositions with a personal artistic vision. At the same time, she considers collaboration and the exchange of ideas with other artists essential, in order to stimulate the organization of cultural and artistic events, both national and international, in her hometown.
