On the occasion of International Children’s Day, celebrated on June 1, the Golești Museum team has prepared a special program. We will have funny ziplining ride, ponies or horses walks and we will transform into our favorite heroes at the face painting point. We will meet craftsmen and plastic artists who will show us how our traditions are preserved and valued in the beautiful handicrafts that they will be on display to be admired and sold.
It will be possible to visit three exhibitions dedicated to the enchanted universe of childhood. In the manor park you will meet Creangă’s characters, embodied in dolls with personality by the popular artist Ștefania Crișan. In the exhibition space in the courtyard of the manor, we are waiting for you to see the exhibition “Universe of childhood from before”, opened in partnership with the Toy Museum Association. The third exhibition is a diorama with miniature but perfectly functional trains traversing a Romanian landscape that includes traditional houses, the church of the Bârsana monastery and the Poienari fortress, all reproduced on a scale of 1:87. This diorama is constantly enriched with new attractions and is made by our collaborator Mr. Dumitru Ioana.
The Golești Museum team proudly continues the activity of supporting education, following the model established 200 years ago by the great ban Radu Golescu and his sons, Iordache and Dinicu Golescu. That is why we are waiting for you with workshops where we learn new information, develop our skills and creative spirit. On June 1, we are waiting for you with the following workshops:
– Calligraphic writing;
– Let’s learn about the folk costume;
– Your colors. Drawings on cardboard;
– Spices from overseas and countries. The aromas of the spices.
The program starts at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 6:00 p.m.
