On June 23rd and 24th, 2023, in Golești, we will dress up in festive attire to warmly welcome our museum colleagues, researchers, conservators, and restorers who are participating in the 52nd edition of our museum’s Scientific Communications Session. History, museography and museum education, heritage object conservation and restoration, and ethno-horticulture are the themes addressed by over 50 specialists who will take part in the debates. Our guests represent prestigious cultural institutions in our country: Buzău County Museum, “Ștefan cel Mare” County Museum-Vaslui, Museum of Oltenia-Craiova, Bran National Museum, “Casa Mureșenilor” Museum-Brașov, Olt County Museum, Municipal Museum Câmpulung Muscel, National Museum of History and Archaeology Constanța, Romanian National Navy Museum, Brăila “Carol I” Museum, “Ana Aslan” Museum Brăila, National Museum of Agriculture-Slobozia, Institute of Socio-Human Research “C.S. Nicolăescu-Plopșor”-Craiova, Central Archive Depot of the Romanian National Military Archives, Valahia University in Târgoviște, Argeș County Archives, and University of Pitești.
After more than fifty editions, our museum’s annual session has become a tradition and a reference point for Romanian museology. This scientific event provides the opportunity to share discoveries and unique perspectives on diverse and exciting topics. The Golești Museum Scientific Session also serves as a call to respect and protect cultural values, encouraging future generations to learn from history and develop a sense of responsibility towards our cultural heritage.
The official opening of the session will take place on Friday, June 23rd, 2023, at 10:00 AM in the Golești manor park.
