The Golești Museum of Viticulture and Pomiculture brings to the public’s attention the creative universe of children and young artists through the exhibition dedicated to the International Drawing and Painting Competition “The Stories Around Us – About People, Animals and Plants.” The event highlights the works created within the 15th edition of the competition, launched in 2025 by Golești Museum. The competition was addressed to young artists up to the age of 19, and the proposed theme invited participants to observe the world around them and transform it into image, colour and story.
The theme of this edition, “The Stories Around Us – About People, Animals and Plants,” gave children the freedom to interpret, through drawing and painting, the connection between human beings, nature and everyday life.
The exhibition has a dual value: artistic and educational. It brings the children’s view of the world into dialogue with the ethnographic character of Golești Museum, a space dedicated to the heritage, traditions and memory of rural communities. Through people, animals and plants, the works tell stories about family, nature, the village, customs, care, friendship and imagination.
The Exhibition of the International Painting Competition at Golești thus becomes an invitation to discover the world through the eyes of children.
