The Golești Museum, in partnership with the Curtea de Argeș Municipal Museum, invites the public to visit the exhibition called Tribute. This will be open on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 12:00 PM. This remarkable exhibition is dedicated to International Women’s Day.
Featuring paintings, graphics, and tapestry fragments/samples, the exhibition at the Golești Museum brings together 11 female artists in a visual dialogue about women, created by women.
The temporary exhibition showcases works by artists: Ada Gugonea, Ana Platon, Anca Giura, Alexandra Gherghinoiu, Eugenia Predică, Georgeta Gherghinoiu, Ioana-Teodora Schmiedigen-Duță, Lavinia-Elena Vieru, Ramona Șlug, Ruxandra-Maria Ciobanu, and Ruxandra Socaciu.
The exhibition aims to highlight several contemporary female artists and the art they create. The displayed works depict silhouettes and portraits, illustrated stories, and emotions, capturing smiles or anxieties, joys, or the sorrows of the female destiny.
The works are created using mixed techniques—pigments with egg emulsion, tempera, ink, and metal leaf on glass; gel pen and acrylic on paper; and acrylic on canvas. Additionally, tapestry fragments, part of a larger artwork, enhance the beauty of the exhibition.
These artistic creations can be admired in the exhibition space „Bolnița of Ban Radu Golescu”, from March 6 to May 6, 2025.
