On February 10, 2023 will be opened in the Contemporary Art Hall of Golești Museum the exhibition entitled Consequences, by the painter Lidia Zadeh Petrescu.
The artist was born in Craiova on December 27, 1967. In 1986 she graduated from the National College Sfântul Sava in Bucharest and in 1991 from the Faculty of Automatics of the Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest. In 2021 she graduated from the Bucharest School of Arts, painting section, and is currently studying at the Stati Art School of Painting.
She has had several exhibitions in the country and abroad: Bucharest, Sibiu, Brasov, Ploiesti and the Painting Biennale in Genoa in 2022.
Lidia Zadeh Petrescu comes from the “fascinating and infinite” world, as she herself says, of product design, interior design and later clothing design, a world in which she has worked for 27 years.
The artist believes that the world of painting is a “rewarding world, where the end result matters, with the advantage of being able to build on the canvas in overlapping layers of colour until the moment you feel and know from within that the work is complete. You have to feel when to stop”.
The artist has her own painting studio in the center of Bucharest, where she spends most of her time. She works in layered acrylic painting, abstract-intuitive painting and sometimes with concrete-figurative elements.
Lidia Zadeh Petrescu’s exhibition can be seen at the Golești Museum until 27 March 2023.
