Friday, September 26, 2025, starting at 6:00 PM, the Golești Museum organizes the NIGHT OF EUROPEAN RESEARCHERS, a high-profile scientific event dedicated to the way in which material and intangible cultural heritage can be studied through the prism of disciplines that, although they seem very diverse, are complementary in the research process. History, archaeology, ethnology, restoration, physics, chemistry and astronomy … contribute decisively to the education of young generations and the protection of national heritage.
The NIGHT OF EUROPEAN RESEARCHERS brings together specialists from cultural institutions in Argeș County (Golești Museum, “Dinicu Golescu” Argeș County Library, Argeș County Museum) and teaching staff from the National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest – Pitești University Center.
Special guests are our colleagues and partners from the National Institute for Research and Development for Optoelectronics – INOE 2000 who will help us discover innovative laser cleaning techniques and non-invasive/micro-invasive analysis methods, applied to the conservation of cultural heritage objects.
The program is generous and includes lectures by specialists, presentations of recent research, as well as interactive workshops through which the public will be able to experience modern and traditional methods of heritage investigation.
Participants will discover:
* new perspectives on historical and ethnological research,
* restoration techniques and non-invasive analyses,
* practical demonstrations of the use of gold leaf and the creation of manuscript illustrations;
* astronomical observations,
* thematic competitions for visitors.
The event will take place at the Golești Museum, with free access for the public, starting at 5:30 PM and is aimed at both specialists and those passionate about science and culture.
We invite you on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, to Golești where we promote heritage through science, education and culture!
