On Saturday, October 17, 2026, starting at 1:00 PM, the Golești Manor will host the second meeting of the “Poezie la conac” (Poetry at the Manor) literary circle—an event dedicated to poets, critics, readers, and literature enthusiasts. The project aims to bring poetry closer to the public within a historic and inspiring setting through poetry readings and dialogues on current literary themes.
“Poezie la conac” holds four meetings a year, establishing a consistent schedule for the literary community and the general public interested in contemporary poetry.
Each edition features:
– Poetry readings by both established authors and debutants.
– Discussions centered on the texts read, as well as topics regarding aesthetics, literary themes, and movements.
– Q&A sessions with the audience, designed to encourage participation and the exchange of ideas.
Musical interludes for the October 17th edition will be provided by Iustina Oprea.
This gathering thus continues a cultural project that seeks to harness the creative energy of Romanian poets, transforming the venue into a vibrant stage for the spoken word and critical reflection. Attendees will include: Magda Grigore, Adrian Cioroianu, Silvia Petre Grigore, Mircea Bârsilă, Lidia Zadeh, Catia Maxim, Gabriela Tănase, Mihaela Asandei, Manuela Golescu, Mihail Gălățanu, Cătălin Dumitru, Daniela Voiculescu, Oliver Anghel, Dragoș Popescu, Morel Rosenthal, Nicoleta Popa, and others.
We warmly invite you to join us in this setting—one that is both friendly and intellectually rigorous—where readings, debates, book recommendations, and connections between authors and the public will take place!
