XXVIth edition of Très Court International Film Festival: welcome to Absurdistan! comes to the Goleşti Museum, between June 14-15, 2024.
Together with the French Alliance Pitesti Branch, we are pleased to be the host of an international event that takes place between June 7 and 16, 2024 in 50 cities around the world, of which 9 cities in Romania: Arad, Baia Mare, Bucharest, Cluj Napoca, Iasi, Piatra Neamţ, Pitesti, Timisoara. For this year’s edition of the festival, the watchword is the absurd. It is as if the stories wanted to transcend our realities. It is as if these films are looking for new and unexplored areas, a new form of poetry and humor capable of giving meaning to the times we live in. From the almost one hundred films selected for this 26th edition, a form of hope, of escape, a bubble of fresh air emerges that this very short format can, more than any other, convey and share. Projection participants will have the opportunity to be active and vote for their favorite creations. At the end of the festival, 9 prizes will be awarded, including an International Audience Award, decided by audience votes.
All films are subtitled in Romanian.
To the French Institute in Romania, which, this year, is celebrating 100 years since its foundation, we wish many happy birthdays!, many and exciting projects, together with as many generations of young people raised in the admiration and appreciation of the French language and civilization.
