On Sunday, November 17, 2024, the graphic exhibition titled Visul unui vis, belonging to plastic artist Alexandra Chiriță, will be opened in the Contemporary Art Hall of the Golești Museum. She was born on May 14, 1994, in Bucharest.
She spent his childhood in the countryside where she was able to empathize with the natural world and study its forms. This stillness in which she grew up developed her sense of observation and imagination, and she still returns to this reservoir of memories when she wants to reconnect with her authentic side in creation.
In 2016, she graduated from the National University of Arts Bucharest, graphics department, under the supervision of the University Lecturer. dr. Anca Boeriu, and in 2018 she completed his master’s degree at the same university, specializing in graphics, under the coordination of Univ. Conf. Dr. Nicolae Aurel Alexi.
She was a professor of plastic education and computer image processing at several educational institutions.
She made illustrations for the book of poems “When Angels Sing” by Magda Isanos, Publishing House Histria Books. She participated with graphics in several group exhibitions.
About the exhibition presented in Golești, the artist states:
“I use as inspiration the Jungian interpretation of dreams, surreal automatism and the theater stage of the subconscious, in which all the actors represent our own facets (as archetypal characters).”
The opening of the exhibition will take place on November 17, 2024, at 6:30 p.m.
Alexandra’s works will be able to be admired on the walls of Golești until February 16, 2025.
